| Bio Robert Bodnár creates non-traditional portraits using acrylic media on canvas, wood, and other materials. Most of his recent source material is from the Internet including social media web sites. Robert has said that "I concentrate on the eyes in my paintings because that is what our brains are hard-wired to connect with." He also creates art using colored pencil or pen and ink on paper. He has been creating art since high school and is primarily self-taught in fine arts, but does have a Graphic Design degree. Robert is a native of coastal North Carolina who has also lived in Denver, CO, suburban Detroit, MI, and Montgomery, AL. He moved to the Raleigh area in 1985 and has living in or near the capital city for most of the time ever since. Robert has mostly worked in electronics and electrical trades. |
